· B1B03 Driver Airbag squib 1 and squib 2 circuit shorted together. B1B03 code - With the ignition on. Set condition, the Occupant Restraint Controller (ORC) monitors the resistance of the Driver squib 1 circuits. The ORC will set this DTC if it detects low resistance between the Driver squib 1 . My code has been 34 which means: "Drivers side airbag circuit low resistance or shorted" with airbag plugged in. When I unplug airbag and powerup light code flashes 32 which means: "Drivers side airbag circuit high resistance or open" So, my ohm test must be inaccurate due to a shorting strip in plug or something. Driver-Side Air Bag Circuit - Low Resistance or Shorted. Passenger-Side Air Bag Circuit - Low Resistance or Shorted. Primary Crash Sensor #1 Feed/Return Circuit - Open. Primary Crash Sensor #2 Feed/Return Circuit - Open. Primary Crash Sensor #1 - Not Mounted to Vehicle Properly.
The SDM monitors the voltages at the driver low and the passenger low to detect shorts to ground or voltage in the deploy loops. The SDM checks the wiring connection to the driver airbag module by letting the infinitesimal current flow through the internal circuit and verify the resistance. Use a jumper wire to short Circuit (T/R) to Circuit 57 (BK) or to another good ground. This short must be made after the diagnostic trouble code flashes completely one time, but before the warning light stays on continuously.
